Remedy Entertainment has released a pair of bonus Dead Man Walking chapters for Max Payne 2: the Fall of Max Payne, expanding their new third-person shooter. After installation the two new maps will be accessible under the "New Game/Dead Man Walking" menu (which itself is unlocked after completing the game for the first time), and the chapters are called Upper East Side and Mona's Playground.

This patch is our largest to date in terms of game changes and offers many new things for Diablo II players, including seasonal ladder characters, more-challenging gameplay, enhanced skills, new items, new anti-cheat measures, a new game-world event, and much much more! Take two Interactive released the first patch for Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne this evening. Version 1.01 of the patch will fix crashing problems experienced by some Windows 98/Me users during loading of certain levels. It will also enable improved loading times on slower PCs and offer improved technical support tools.

Over the last few days there have been talks about half life 2 being fake and or real. Here's the scoop. The code was stolen via the creators Sierra, but only a partial of the code was stolen. Now the release dates for the game was October sometime, in the bottom half of the month, the product is now being delayed and pushed back till April 2004, this of course causes some fustration to both the company and the gamers. There is a copy circulating on the net as we speak however, but it's not a full coded version.

Activision has released the map editing tools for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, the free team-based multiplayer first-person shooter by Splash Damage. This GtkRadiant-ET package contains everything needed to create new maps and content for the game, but is not supported by Splash Damage, id Software or Activision.

Electronic Arts sends along a new map for Battlefield 1942, expanding the multiplayer 3D action game by Digital Illusions with the Battle of Britain. As usual, the map comes in client and standalone server variants, it offers new Junkers Ju88 (on the German side) and Radar Tower (English side) weapons. This map requires version 1.4 of the full game.

Austin-based publisher Aspyr Media has announced that SimCity 4 for the Mac is now shipping to retail stores. The Mac version faithfully reproduces the detailed city building experience of the PC game, released in January. In the game, players get to build their own living, breathing city, assume the role of mayor, and then do everything in their power to ensure the prosperity of not only the city but the individuals that inhabit it. In SimCity 4, cities located in close proximity on a regional map can be linked to create a variety of local communities.

Blizzard has announced that many of the interface and Battle.net enhancements created for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne will soon be available to players of the original game. The 1.10 update will make several enhancements to the Warcraft III interface, adding a minimap view that shows creep locations, the ability to queue buildings, and the ability to put both units and upgrades in the same queue. The update also adds clan support and a range of other Battle.net features, such as a new "referee" observer type and new filtering options.
