MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – August 24, 2010 – Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced the publication of its August 2010 MessageLabs Intelligence Report. Analysis reveals that the percentage of spam sent from botnets has increased to 95 percent of all spam up from 84 percent in April. Rustock remained the most dominant spam-sending botnet responsible for the majority of botnet spam, 41 percent in August up from 32 percent in April, but shrinking in the number of bots under its control from 2.5 million in April to 1.3 million in August. - View Press Release - Visit Symantec Corp.
