To boost parallel programming, Intel introduced a Web-based service that allows software developers to assess how their applications will perform on a number of multicore processor configurations. Powered by Intel® Parallel Studio, the Intel® Parallel Universe Portal is a cloud computing analysis tool that tests parallel applications, written for the Windows operating system, in multicore environments on an on-demand basis.
