|
Mobile computing devices such as laptops, netbooks, smart phones, or other Wi-Fi CERTIFIED devices will soon be able to connect directly to one another in a new way, and at record wireless speeds. Today, the Wi-Fi Alliance announced a new specification available mid-2010 for connecting devices without a traditional home, office or hotspot access point. Intel® My WiFi Technology, the industry's first commercially available Wi-Fi PAN solution, will incorporate this new specification, enabling exciting new peer to peer and social networking applications. Intel My WiFi Technology with Wi-Fi Direct certification will continue to connect with the 100s of millions of existing Wi-Fi CERTIFIED devices.
