The Intel® Academic Community has welcomed 1,000 universities into a comprehensive network that uses social media to connect Intel with 1,680 professors worldwide. Since 2007, the Intel Academic Community has provided university faculty with parallel programming and visual computing curriculum, developer tools, training, research and more in an effort enhance software education. As the computing industry continues to shift towards multicore and manycore processing, there is a greater need for the next generation of software developers to be versed in parallel programming in order to succeed. To date, the program has trained more than 100,000 students in 72 countries. Learn more.
