SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Acer, the world’s third largest PC vendor(1), today announced that VARs and education customers interested in participating in their K-12 Seed Unit Program have until March 1, 2009 to sign up. Since the program’s beginning in December 2008, more than 1,000 education customers have witnessed how Acer’s education focused netbook and desktop solutions, including the Aspire One, can make student life more productive at significantly less cost than competitive offerings. As schools continue to wrestle with ongoing budget cuts, constrained IT departments are finding the Acer Aspire One netbook and powerful Acer Veriton ultra-small form factor desktop can make their budgets go further without sacrificing capabilities.
