01.29.2009 - "ScienceSim" Virtual World Launched for Developers

Intel has launched a developer site for the "ScienceSim" virtual world, a collaboration with the Supercomputing'09 conference to develop a new virtual world for immersive science. Today's launch coincides with the 2nd anniversary of OpenSim, the open-source world simulator by which ScienceSim is built, and signifies that supercomputing centers can now explore how this new world could foster better collaboration, education, and visualization.
