PALO ALTO, Calif., August 14, 2007 — VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW) today announced that the underwriters of its initial public offering exercised their over-allotment option to purchase an additional 4,950,000 shares of its Class A Common Stock at $29.00 per share. The option was granted in connection with the company’s initial public offering of 33,000,000 shares of its Class A Common Stock, which priced on August 13, 2007.
