IRVINE, Calif., April 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Gateway, Inc. (NYSE: GTW) today reported results for its first quarter ended Mar. 31, 2006. The company recorded a first quarter net loss of $12.3 million, or 3 cents per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $20.9 million, or a loss of 5 cents per diluted share in the prior quarter, and a net loss of $5.2 million, or a loss of 1 cent per share a year earlier.
