09.15.2002 - Seagate lowers hard drive warranty period



View Seagate-Technology related news. The Inquirer has posted an article with a quoted letter from Seagate. The Letter states that all of Seagate desktop and personal storage products shipped after the October 1st will carry a one-year limited warranty. This is to follow suit with Maxtor and Western Digital whom both recently annoucced that the warranties issued by them will be one-year.
