If you are running Microsoft Windows 2000 on an Intel Pentium 4 with Active Monitor 1.13 or earlier you may encounter a black screen during boot up (Your system will not POST).
To correct the problem, unplug the power to your computer for 15 seconds or more. Plug the computer back in and your PC should start normally. After booting up do the following: uninstall Active Monitor, download Active Monitor 1.14 or higher, and install the new Acitve Monitor.
Intel claims that this is caused by a timing issue with the SM Bus drivers in the Intel Active Monitor.
- Download Current version of Intel Active Monitor
