The SoundMAX* 2.0 audio driver that is on the initial version of the Intel® Desktop Board D815EEA2/D815EPEA2 CD is a "Beta" version.
You must perform a manual installation under Windows* 98SE and Windows* 2000 when using the Intel® Express Installer. This version had not yet passed WHQL (Windows* Hardware Qualification Labs) testing by the time of the CD image was completed and sent to manufacturing.
To acquire the WHQL tested version of the SoundMAX* driver contact Intel® Desktop Support and request the latest CD or download the driver.
Note: Audio is not supported under Microsoft Windows 98fe (first edition).
