Problem:

You want to show the security tab for folders on a computer running Windows XP Home.



Solution:

Launch RegEdit.

Add the following information into the registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Option]
"OptionValue"=dword:00000001



Registry Editor
Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Option]
Value Name: OptionValue
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1




To undo simply set the value to 0.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Option]
"OptionValue"=dword:00000000

Registry Editor
Key:/td> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Option]
Value Name: OptionValue
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 0
