Problem:

Sound does not not work properly with older ID software games (Doom, Doom2, Heretic, Hexen, or Strife) from Microsoft Windows or OS/2 Warp.

Solution:

Back in July of 2001 Martin Kiewitz wrote a program that fixes the problem.

Instructions:

Download this program. (idpatchr.zip / 32KB)

- Extract IDPATCHR.EXE into your Doom/Doom2/Heretic/Hexen/Strife directory (a.k.a. Folder).

- Run IDPATCHR.EXE

- Run your game as you normally would.
