This is a version of SpamPal that will run as a Windows service. If you don't know what a "Windows service" is, it's a program that runs all the time, and provides "services" to all users. A "service" version of SpamPal should allow multiple users on the same machine to use XP's "fast user switching" feature to all share the same version of SpamPal, which is one thing a lot of people have asked for.

Mozilla's Thunderbird mail client is a redesign of the Mozilla mail component. Its goal is to produce a cross-platform, standalone mail application using XUL. It is modeled after the Mozilla Firebird rewrite of the Mozilla browser. The intended customer is someone who uses Mozilla Firebird (or another non-Mozilla browser) as his or her primary browser and who wants a mail client based on Mozilla that plays nice with that browser. Some of the new features in version 0.7 are a smaller and faster Windows installer, new themes, the Extension Manager, and the Crash Analysis Tool (Talkback). Thunderbird now supports a user interface for creating multiple identities for each e-mail account.

SpamPal sits between your email program and your mailbox, checking your email as you retrieve it. Any email messages that SpamPal considers to be spam will be "tagged" with a special header; you simply configure your email client to filter anything with this header into a separate folder and your spam won't be mixed up with the rest of your email anymore!

Use the Authoritative Restore tool to force a restored directory database to replicate to other servers after restoring from a backup. This tool allows you to restore one server (the server with the most recent pre-mistake backup) rather than all servers. With the Authoritative Restore tool, object versions and USNs can be advanced on all writable objects held by that directory so that the data held on the backup appears to be more recent than any copy held by other servers.
