This patch is our largest to date in terms of game changes and offers many new things for Diablo II players, including seasonal ladder characters, more-challenging gameplay, enhanced skills, new items, new anti-cheat measures, a new game-world event, and much much more! This would not have been possible without the support of a great gaming community and the dedication and hard work of some very talented people. We would like to thank you for helping us beta test the 1.10 patch and for your patience while this patch was completed. Big thanks also to the “Hell Day Testers,” fan sites, and forums for all the great feedback. We hope you enjoy this special upgrade to Diablo II.

The New Patch released today, and adds quite a bit of versatility, and new features as Diablo continues to be competitive. Due to the magnitude of the upcoming Diablo II 1.10 patch, we are for the first time ever conducting a special patch beta test! Unlike our previous beta tests, you do not have to sign up to participate.

Earlier this week blizzard shut down and banned over 120,000 accounts after close review of some currently renoun and not so renoun cheaters amung the servers. East, currently one of the most popular portals, was determined to get revenge on the cheaters by, accompanying the banned account with a no-more creation limit, of 2 accounts.

The word on the street is, Patch 1.10 is coming out soon. After flying into a couple of cow games, and getting killed off, sources from numerous directions spoke of the upcoming patch to be released sometime next month. When I visited the help centre there was little talk of, what was happening but that something was getting patched. Let's not hope it's my account!
