FREMONT, Calif. and ROMANEL-SUR-MORGES, Switzerland, Nov. 8, 2007 — Logitech International (SWX: LOGN) (Nasdaq: LOGI) today announced that it is broadening its presence in the digital home with the acquisition of WiLife, Inc., which offers an affordable, easy-to-set-up, easy-to-use PC-based video solution for self-monitoring a home or smaller business. Logitech has entered into an agreement to acquire the privately held company, based in Draper, Utah, for approximately $24 million plus a possible performance-based payment, tied to reaching certain future revenue targets. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close by mid-November.

We're just three days away from November 12th and the introduction of our first several Penryn-family processors. Penryn is the code-name for Intel's latest 45nm processors manufactured with revolutionary new transistors combining a hafnium-based and High-k, metal gate structures. These new chips will have up to 820 million reinvented transistors on them. Intel's first microprocessor, the 4004, had a mere 2,300 transistors when it was launched in 1971. Intel calls the company's yearly and alternating cadence of new microarchitecture blueprints or manufacturing nanometer process 'shrinks' it's 'Tick-Tock' strategy, and Penryn is on the clock.

Penryn, California is a small town about 20miles north of Folsom, California where Intel chip designers came up with the blueprints for Intel's 45nm processors. The new processor family, code-named Penryn, follows a naming convention Intel has used for several years where design teams adopt local geographic, or in this case, local city names. While 'Penryn' will soon give way to official Intel product names, the town lives on.

If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you didn't intentionally install, if your browser crashes, or if you browser start page has changed without your knowing, you most probably have spyware. But even if you don't see anything, you may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging that is silently tracking your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile of you that will be sold to advertisement companies.
